Rhythm Equine firmly believes that preventative care is a main pillar of equine health management. We offer a large range of preventative medicine services that can be tailored to suit the horse’s, herd’s, or barn’s specific needs. We also offer comprehensive wellness plans that have been developed to provide the core preventative medicine items that each horse needs every year while reducing the impact on your budget. Enrolling in a plan is easy, and is accompanied by additional perks throughout the year.

Additional Preventative Medicine Services Offered

• Fecal Egg Counts: Screen for parasites and determine which treatment is best for your horse.

• Deworming Consultations: Plan your seasonal deworming schedule and products to best optimize use.

• Microchip Insertion and Scanning: Chip a horse to assure a horse’s identify can always be confirmed in case of theft, escape, or natural disaster.

• General Health Exams: A general health work up to ensure the horse is baseline well.

• Basic Bloodwork: Perform a Complete Blood Count or Chemistry Screen to detect inflammation, infection, anaemia, and organ function.

• Coggins: Test for the Equine Infectious Anemia, also need to be up to date to enter some facilities, shows, or do international travel.
